The first night in wilderness we spent in the Waterberg National Park. Waterberg is actually a 50km wide sandstone plateau, which pokes out of the desert plain by 150m. Early morning at sunrise (easy for us, as we are still quite jet-lagged), we hiked an 1h trail up to the plateau rim for the most stunning view over the flat, dusty, desert-like Namibian landscape. Actually, Namibia’s scenery looks exactly how we imagined it beforehand!! It’s simply incredible!
